Yes. AO2 HYDRATE is completely safe for all people and all skin types. It’s even safe to use while pregnant, nursing or trying to conceive. Our ingredient list is short:

1. Distilled water
2. Billions of oxygen nanobubbles
3. Natural vegatable glyercin

With consistent use your skin should be clearer, more hydrated, evenly textured, brighter, and overall healthier and better nourished. You should not experience the drying or irritation that accompanies many traditional acne products like Retin-A.

Apply twice daily after you wash and dry your face using the following steps:

1. Place a fresh new sponge in the tray (Do not reuse sponges—used sponges can collect and breed bacteria)

2. Dispense AO2 HYDRATE solution onto the sponge until fully saturated (a drippy sponge delivers the best results)

3. Apply liberally to your entire face—for sensitive skin or active breakouts, dab the product onto your skin rather than scrubbing to avoid potential irritation

4. Let your skin air dry until it's almost dry, then apply your next product while it's still slightly damp—do not pat dry

5. Apply any additional products from your existing skincare routine, such as moisturizer or sunscreen

NOTE: Be consistent to get maximum results. Each pouch contains 15 applications and is meant to be used twice a day. Discard each pouch 14 days after opening—even if there’s liquid left, switching to a fresh pouch ensures you're getting the most effective product.

Nope! Because AO2 HYDRATE is a unique and hyper clean product it fits right into your existing routine, whether that’s cleanse and go a multi-step regimen.

Remember to be consistent and use it twice daily after washing and drying your face. Then, once you apply your AO2 HYDRATE, let it air dry. If you wipe your face, you are wiping off the oxygen. 

Because AO2 HYDRATE is made with only oxygen, distilled water, and natural vegetable glycerinthere is no potential for irritation or other adverse reactions.

NO! We recommend you use a fresh new sponge with each application. A previously used sponge can harbor bacteria (either removed from your skin during the AO2 application or aerosolized in the bathroom). If you reuse the same sponge later you are risking adding bacteria back to your skin surface.

Your sponge is also compostable so you don't need to worry about filling up the landfill.  Toss them in your compost or the trash as they will biodegrade.

For the tray, you can reuse it. We recommend you wash the trays with soap and water and store them in a drawer or cabinet. Because they are not as porous as the sponges, a quick clean between uses will minimize any bacterial growth.

If using AO2 HYDRATE consistently twice daily, you should start to see improvement within 2 to 4 weeks. Because oxygen acts as a natural antibacterial against the specific bacteria that causes acne inflammation the preventative benefits act cumulatively—the longer you use the product, the more benefit you can expect to see—clarity, hydration, and even texture.

Absolutely. Both products are gender-neutral, fast-absorbing, and leave no residue. Many men like Clear as a post-shave soothing step, and Hydrate as a simple all-in-one moisturizer.

We find that people with sensitive skin or severe or very inflamed acne should apply using light pressure so as not to irritate your skin with the sponge texture. Those who don’t have sensitive skin and/or have a lot of blackheads and whiteheads can press more firmly for more exfoliation. Use AO2 HYDRATE twice daily, once in the morning and once at night, on clean, dry skin. It should be the first step after cleansing and before applying serums, moisturizers, or SPF. AO2 HYDRATE easily fits into any skincare routine without requiring you to change anything else.

Each 30-day kit comes with four pouches, and each pouch contains 15 applications (used twice a day). Once opened, a pouch is most effective when used within 14 days, so we recommend replacing the cap tightly after each use to keep the oxygen nanobubbles potent.

AO2 HYDRATE uses patented nanobubble oxygen technology. Unlike creams, foams, or masks that make “oxygen” claims without proven delivery, our nanobubbles are 1,000× smaller than pores and stay stable in water. The sponges have also been designed to give you gentle exfoliation that can help clear your pores of dead skin cells and make way for our oxygen nanobubbles to get to work. If you notice any persistent redness or irritation it is likely that your skin needs less exfoliation and we recommend switching to a cotton round or fine gauze instead.

AO2 HYDRATE has a shelf life of 1 year if unopened and stored in a cool place. You will see the manufacturing date of your A02 on the back of each pouch on the bottom.

Once you open your A02 HYDRATE pouch, it has a maximum efficacy of 14 days. It can be stored in your bathroom or the refrigerator depending on your preference.

Each pouch contains 15 applications. We recommend you use AO2 HYDRATE twice daily for 3o consecutive days for maximum benefit.  Also remember to use a fresh clean sponge with each applications.

Closing the cap quickly and tightly is a critical step in ensuring maximum product effectiveness for the duration of each two week pouch. If left open the nanobubbles will begin to rise to the surface and pop, decreasing oxygen concentration in the solution. Without a high oxygen concentration AO2 HYDRATE will not work as well, so please close quickly and tightly.
