My name is Valerie Hanft, MD, and I am a board-certified dermatologist and the Chief Medical Officer for O2 Partners. Whether you’ve heard about AO2 Clear before or this is your first introduction, I’m excited to share a radically new approach to achieving clearer, healthier skin with you and your practice.
Our product, AO2 Clear®, is a novel formulation containing two simple ingredients – distilled water and oxygen. Nothing else. We use a patented nanobubble technology to deliver the highest concentration of oxygen of any skincare product on the market.
As you know, the bacteria that cause acne (Cutibacteria acnes) thrive in an environment devoid of oxygen. Because AO2 floods the pores with oxygen, this treatment is antibacterial without any risks of traditional antibiotics. We have found that it is effective in all skin types, has no potential for adverse reactions (irritation, redness, or dryness), and is safe for all patients, including those who are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive.
Since our original product launch, we noticed that our customers have reported many benefits beyond clearing blemishes. Users report their skin feels smoother and more hydrated. Those who have had procedures like Fraxel, chemical peels, and microneedling report their skin heals faster. Clinical Study Results
AO2 Clear conducted a prospective patient study involving 14 clinicians. They distributed a one month supply of AO2 Clear to be used twice daily for acne, dermatitis, post-procedure healing, hydration, or improvement of tolerability of other products. A total of 66 responses were received.
The responses were overwhelmingly positive not only for efficacy for the varied indications, but also for convenience and enjoyment of the overall product experience.
Primary Uses Among Patients
The majority of patients (66%) were using AO2 Clear for treatment of acne followed by post-procedure healing (16%), improving tolerability of other products (12%), and hydration/ treatment of dermatitis (6%).
Patient Improvement
After one month of use, 88% reported improvement with 35% of this group describing the result as dramatic improvement.
Likelihood of Recommending
Similarly, the majority of patients (77%) reported they would recommend the product to a friend.
Patient Enjoyment
These results were reflected in a 86% overall satisfaction rate with almost half of all patients reporting they loved using AO2 Clear.
